Following his admission of being fed ‘misinformation’ by the establishment, former prime minister Imran Khan should apologise to the leaders he accused of corruption and money laundering, said PML-N senior leader Pervaiz Rashid on Friday.
In a statement, the former information minister said that those wrongly incriminated by him and his cohorts should be allowed to return to the country with dignity.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s admission of being fed false information also proves the fact that during his term, he was continuously trying to appease the powers that be.
He added that the establishment has directly or indirectly tried to control the democratic setup since Ayub Khan’s time.
The PML-N leader said that Imran has also conceded that he was also fed the allegations of “35 punctures”, a euphemism of rigging during the 2013 general elections, from different sources which included retired generals.
