A new feature on the popular video-sharing platform TikTok allows content creators to share their stories on Meta's social platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
The feature has been in the pilot phase since last year, but will now be officially launched to rival social networks.
It could provide TikTok with increased visibility on Meta's platforms, as the company works arduously to beat and outrank TikTok's videos in Reels.
Content creators on TikTok won't have to post their content on Reels to reach their audience on Meta platforms, but can now directly share it through the TikTok app.
The same interface that allowed TikTok users to share their Stories with friends by tapping on their profile picture, will now also let them share it on Instagram and Facebook, with an additional option displaying popular social media apps the Story could be shared on.
The images of the interface were provided by Watchful.ai and confirmed by TikTok.
According to TechCrunch, the company hasn't confirmed when the feature will be rolled out to users globally, and TikTok Stories itself is still being globally tested.
