Congratulations are in order for Bipasha Basu for joining the Bollywood mommy-to-be club, which currently comprises of Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. “We who once were two, will now become three,” Basu wrote on Instagram as she announced being pregnant with husband and actor Karan Singh Grover.

On Tuesday, the Raaz actor shared a series of pictures which saw the couple twinning in white shirts as they cradled her belly, kissing the baby bump with gentle love. Basu penned a note to make the announcement.

“A new time, a new phase, a new light adds another unique shade to our prism of life. Making us a little more whole than we used to be. We began this life individually and then we met each other and from then we were two,” she wrote reflecting on her journey of love with Grover so far.

Basu went on to confess that their love was too much for just the two of them, and so a baby will “soon” join them. “Too much love for only two, seemed a little unfair for us to see…so soon, we who once were two will now become three. A creation manifested by our love, our baby will join us soon and add to our glee.”

Concluding the post, Basu thanked fans and friends for their wishes and prayers and for sticking through to witness this big moment: “Thank you all, for your unconditional love, your prayers and good wishes as they are and will always be a part of us. Thank you for being a part of our lives and manifesting with us another beautiful life, our baby.”

Previously, rumours of Basu’s pregnancy had went viral after fans spotted her baby bump in the photos shared by the actor from an Eid party. Basu and Grover first met on the set of Bhushan Patel's film Alone in the year 2015, which marked their first on-screen collaboration. They tied the knot after one year of dating in April 2016.
