City on top after close win over Bolton

Mancini ‘might not buy Nasri’ if he plays in CL playoff.

PARIS: Manchester City took top spot in the English Premier League with a 3-2 win at Bolton thanks to goals from David Silva, Gareth Barry and Edin Dzeko.

There was also a substitute appearance from Carlos Tevez, the unsettled striker who hopes to leave City before the transfer window shuts on August 31. Unfashionable Wolves also maintained their 100 per cent start to the season as goals from Kevin Doyle and Matt Jarvis secured a 2-0 win over Fulham.

Meanwhile, City manager Roberto Mancini warned Arsene Wenger that he might not sign Samir Nasri if he plays in Arsenal’s Champions League tie on Wednesday.

Mancini is keen to bring in Nasri in a £25 million move before the transfer window shuts, but the deal has taken longer than expected as agents reportedly haggle over their cut of the transfer.
