Terrorist killed in Mir Ali operation: ISPR

Intense fire exchange took place between the troops and terrorists during the operation, says military’s media wing

RAWALPINDI:

Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali in general area of North Waziristan district and killed a terrorist involved in hostile activities against the forces and innocent civilians, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a media release on Monday.

The media wing of the military said that an intense fire exchange took place between the troops and terrorists during the operation. It added that the security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the dead terrorist.

The killed terrorist remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens, the ISPR press release said, adding that he was also involved in target killing of Qari Sami in North Waziristan.

The locals appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the area, the ISPR said.
