Two siblings drown in Pindigheb pond

In a separate incident man attempts ‘suicide’ in Rawalpindi

PINDIGHEB:

Two brothers, nine-year-old Fahad and 10-year-old Abdul Ghani drowned while bathing in a pond in Dhalian Chowk.

Police said that the boys went to bathe with their cousin and they all went into deep water, however, their cousin who knew how to swim came back while the two brothers drowned. They were residents of Pindigheb.

Rescue 1122 workers fished out the bodies and later they were handed over to the family after completing medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a young man shot and injured himself while trying to commit suicide within the limits of Taxila police station.

According to the police, Mohsin is a tailor by profession and has been out of work for the last two days. At the time of the incident, he was in his room while his wife, mother and younger brother were also present in the house. He told his mother that he was going through anxieties, therefore, he picked up his father's pistol and shot himself in the stomach to take his own life which left him seriously injured. The police have registered a case of suicide and started an investigation.
