KARACHI:

Two members of Pakistan’s delegation at the recently-concluded Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England absconded before their journey back home.

Boxers Nazeerullah Khan and Suleman Baloch left the village housing the athletes to grab breakfast ahead of their departure on August 9 but didn’t report back.

Pakistan boxing team management made every effort to find them but to no avail, leaving the other three boxers and coach Arshad Hussain to depart without them.

According to sources, boxers’ passports and tickets are with the team management. The organizers of Commonwealth Games and the concerned authorities have also been informed about their disappearance.

Moreover, the police have also begun their search for the missing boxers. It must be noted that two Sri Lankan athletes had also gone missing during the sporting extravaganza.
