15 more bodies recovered from Balochistan

The death toll in flood-related incidents across Balochistan rose to 162, as rescue workers found 15 bodies in various districts of Balochistan on Tuesday.

According to the data shared by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), rescue workers and local people recovered 15 bodies from Zhob, Lasbela, Jhal Magsi and other parts of the province.

The dead include 54 children, 43 women, 67 men, the PDMA data revealed. The PDMA, Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps also rescued thousands of stranded people in Lasbela and Jhal Magsi.

All the stranded people have been shifted to safer places in both the districts.

On Tuesday, flood-affected people in Khainsoob area of district Qilla Saifullah were provided food and clean drinking water. "We ensured provision of food to the flood affected people", Naseer Ahmed Nasar, the Director General Provincial Disaster Managmenet Authority (PDMA) said.

The PDMA has provided food and other necessary items  after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was angered over the non availability of food and drinking water in Khainsoob camp of Killa Saifullah district.

He asked the Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo to take action against the officials involved in this negligence. The Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo was quick in suspending the deputy commissioner Killa Saifullah Hafiz Muhammad Qasim Kakar after the directives of the premier.
