JHANG:

A police constable, Qasim Hayat, who had a case registered against him on July 16 under various Sections of the PPC, including Section 354 (assault on woman), had to face vigilante justice before the country’s law and court could decide whether he was innocent or guilty.

Qasim Hayat was treated with one of the worst kind of cruelties. He was attacked by a mob who chopped off his nose and both ears.

A complaint had been lodged with the Masan Police Station in which it was stated that accused Iftikhar, along with a dozen of people, had attacked Qasim Hayat over suspicions of the latter having an affair with the wife of the accused.

As far as the case against Constable Qasim was concerned, the complainant, Aftab, who is the son of accused Iftikhar, stated that Constable Qasim had been blackmailing his mother after the latter had refused to entertain Qasim’s advances towards her.

In his desperation, Qasim told his mother that she would see her son dead if she refused to do his bidding.

A terrified mother in her bid to save her son’s life met Qasim in an attempt to bring him to his senses.

However, the woman’s efforts to bring the matter to a peaceful end backfired, and Qasim allegedly cornered her, made a movie of her and later made it viral on social media.
