Fish vendor shot dead in DHA

Another firing incident takes away the life of a common man

A case has been registered against two unidentified armed suspects for shooting and killing of a fish vendor in the Darakhshan police of Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

Two armed suspects riding on a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle and killed Muhammad Rafiq, son of Ali Ahmed, resident of Machar Colony, near Mama Hotel at Muslim Commercial in DHA, Phase-VI.

The Darakhshan police registered the case under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code against the two unidentified armed suspects on the complaint of the dead fish-seller's son-in-law Muhammad Ishaq Khan.

According to the police, Rafiq was accompanied by a friend and two women at the time of incident. Rafiq and one of the women were inside the car, while his friend and the other woman were outside when the suspects riding on a motorcycle pulled over spoke to Rafiq for some time and opened fire.

They further said that the two women present with the victim are sisters and residents of Sultanabad. They said the victim had two wives and the murder seems to be the result of personal enmity.
