Waziristan local shot dead in ‘vendetta killing’

Several incidents of firing reported across the city of Karachi, killing one and injuring two

KARACHI:

One person was killed while three were injured in firing incidents in different areas around the city.

As per details, a young man was shot dead by unidentified people at Pakhtun Chowk in Korangi Bilal Colony. Police and rescue workers reached the spot upon receiving the information and shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for legal procedure.

SHO Korangi Industrial Area Inspector Akhlaq Ahmed said that when the incident occurred, he was seated at his friend's fruit stall when a suspect riding a motorbike approached him and opened fire at close range. He received five bullets on the face and chest, dying on the spot.

The accused managed to escape after the incident.

SHO said that the deceased was an area resident. The family initially said they are from Waziristan, where their enmity continues, although the case is still pending in court.

In another incident, 13-year-old Tahir was injured after a bullet was fired from an unknown tack inside the house in Rais Amrohvi Colony of Orangi Town.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Sahil was injured in the firing in the Taiser Town area of Surjani Town. Furthermore, Shakir, 36, was injured due to firing by unidentified people in Sector 36C Korangi.
