KARACHI:

A dog bit a citizen on the leg on Tariq Road on Friday.

The dog bit the man on the leg while riding his motorcycle close to Dolman Mall. The injured person was shifted immediately to a private hospital on Stadium Road, where he received medical aid.

Locals said that there are many dogs in the area because one person in the neighbourhood feeds and takes care of stray dogs. It is now tough for women and children to go through the area.

Several incidences have happened where stray dogs have bitten numerous citizens. Locals repeatedly contacted the relevant authorities about this issue, but no one listened to them. Area residents have appealed to the Administrator of Karachi and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) senior officials to take notice of this incident. They also demanded to launch a 'Dog Killing Campaign" in the area so the locals could live peacefully.
