KARACHI:

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh Police has prepared the sketch of a man who is suspected of preparing the explosive device used in the suicide attack on Chinese teachers at the University of Karachi earlier this year.

Three Chinese language teachers and their Pakistani driver were killed when a woman, identified as Shari Baloch, blew herself up near their minibus on April 26. The body parts of the bomber, which were recovered from the site, are still in a cold storage.

According to CTD sources, the sketch of the suspect, identified as Zeb, has been prepared with the help of CCTV footage and accounts of eyewitnesses.

They said Zeb is a trainer of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists. He met Shari's family in Delhi Colony and stayed with them. CTD sources further said that the explosives device that Shari exploded near the minivan of the Chinese national outside Karachi University was also prepared by Zeb.

Meanwhile, the body parts of the bomber are still in the cold storage. They were recovered by investigators from the site after the bomb attack. CTD authorities have not given permission for her burial while no one has come forward to collect them.
