A meeting of the federal cabinet has been called on Thursday at 2 pm, which will deliberate on a six-point agenda, including trade initiatives with Afghanistan and Turkey.
The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The economic and political situation of the country will be taken into consideration in the cabinet as it takes up a six-point agenda.
An air corridor is likely to be approved for transit trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Similarly, the trade of goods between Pakistan and Turkey is also likely to be approved.
The cabinet is also expected to approve the payment of salaries to the staff of three Pakistani hospitals in Afghanistan, while it will also possibly approve the appointment of a chairperson for the Federal Land Commission.
The cabinet is expected to ratify the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and Cabinet Committee for Disposal of Legislative Cases (CCLC).
