Slain youth turns out to be habitual criminal

Police records reveal cases of murder, encounter with police and robbery have been registered against him

The youth who was killed in Shahnawaz Goth area of Sachal police station turned out to be a robber.

Police checked record of the deceased Sarfaraz Korai and found out that cases of murder, encounter with police and robbery have been registered against him in Qamber Shahdadkot district. The deceased was a habitual criminal, said Sachal police station SHO Aurangzeb Khattak. He said that Korai alias Kamran Chandio was died of stabbing from a dagger and 38-year-old van driver Naik Muhammad was injured during a botched robbery on Monday.

Naik told the police in hospital that Korai tried to snatch his van by putting a knife on his throat, but he fought and stabbed him with his own knife.
