Unrest in chaman: Tribal clashes claim four lives

Eight others were injured.

CHAMAN: At least four people were killed and eight others have been injured in a tribal clash that took place over a land dispute, in the border town of Gulistan area in Qila Abdullah of Chaman district, on Sunday.

“The armed men of two local tribes, named Saigi Tareen and Suleman Khail, took positions against each other and opened fire,” police said. They added that the clash resulted in instant deaths of four people, including a passerby, and eight others were injured.

The two rival groups used rocket launchers and sophisticated automatic weapons against each other.
