Dua Zehra, Karachi teenager who allegedly married of her free will, arrived at Darul Aman on Tuesday after orders by a district and sessions court of Lahore.
Salman Sufi, head of the Prime Minister's Strategic Reforms, confirmed the development in a tweet.
"[The] Punjab government has secured Dua Zehra at Dar-ul-Aman under strict security and protection after a court order," Sufi said on the micro-blogging website.
"[The] Sindh government has been requested to dispatch a child protection bureau team to take her to her parents," he said, adding, "Mr Zaheer is being traced for arrest."

Punjab Gov has secured Dua Zehra at Dar UL Aman under strict security and protection after a court order.
Sindh Government has been requested to dispatch a child protection bureau team to take her to her parents.
Mr Zaheer is being traced for arrest.
Earlier today, Dua submitted a plea with the sessions court where she cited "constant threats" from her parents and her relatives.
The teenager had also maintained that she was “not on good terms” with Zaheer Ahmed, the man who contracted a marriage with her.
Earlier this month, a special medical board determined that Dua was aged between 15 to16 years, but nearer to 15 years, giving support to the contention of her father that she is underage and that she was lured into marriage.
