HYDERABAD:

The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has alleged that the party's candidates contesting in the upcoming local government election from Hyderabad as well as its workers are being harassed and attacked.

The TLP's Sindh chapter leader advocate Suleman Sarwari told a press conference in Hyderabad on Sunday that a candidate contesting for the seat of a ward councilor in Town Municipal Corporation was kidnapped on July 14.

TLP's Sindh chief added that the candidate was found three days later from the bushes in an area of Sujawal district with his hands tied with a rope.

He claimed that the incidents of harassment and attacks are also taking place in other UCs of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

According to Sarwari, the party has submitted complaints with the concerned officers including the police but no action has been taken so far.
