Both stars in their own right, Mahira Khan and Naimal Khawar need no introduction. Popular names in Pakistan’s entertainment circuit, the ladies are not only recognised for their respective talents but also for their style statements.
While both A-listers often opt for the casual-chic vibe when it comes to their western attires, their eastern outfits almost always take the traditional route. The Raees actor recently donned a Faiza Saqlain number and days later we spotted Khawar in the same creation.
Compiled below is a breakdown of their super stunning looks. Who do you think wore it better?
1. Mahira Khan
The superstar donned a beige kameez and two-legged sharara set from the ace designer’s ‘Saanjh’ collection. The boat neck and bodice featured flowers in pink, blue and green, with the intricate embroidery incorporated on the sleeves and hemline as well. Khan exuded grace in the long-sleeves outfit, coupling it with a matching beige dupatta, completed with a mirror-worked and a white embroidered border.
A sight for sore eyes, the pleated sharara is comprised of floral motifs and multi-coloured edges. She opted for antique, silver jewellery to add to the finishing touches. Khan kept her makeup dewy and minimal and let her hair down in soft waves. But what really caught our eye was the beautiful matching potli (bag)!
2. Naimal Khawar
For Eidul Azha, the artist sported the identical Faiza Saqlain ensemble in a different colour. Choosing a bright yellow for her daytime festive look, Khawar’s overall appearance was surely more traditional than that of Mahira. She chose to half-tie her hair and accessoried her look with desi jhumka baalis.
While the floral motifs stood out from afar on the vibrant fabric, Khawar’s dupatta was adorned with a thick yellow border, almost blending into the dupatta itself. Khawar too, kept her makeup to a minimum, wearing slight blush, a light pink pout and a million-dollar smile. Need we say, the outfit is a whole new take on matching separates!
