Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi pledged to honour the election code of conduct and expressed his party's desire for peaceful by-elections and the involvement of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure free, fair and transparent polls.
While addressing a press conference on Friday, Qureshi thanked former federal minister Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Pakistan Sunni Tehrik leader Shadab Raza for endorsing the PTI candidate.
Qureshi said Friday was the last day of campaigning and thanked all party workers, including women, for their active participation. He added that the rest of the election would be completed on polling day, when people would give their votes. All candidates campaigned to convince people and now it was up to the voters to decide their fate.
Furthermore, Qureshi said the party reported all the violations of the code of conduct to the ECP and added that rectifying the voter list was their responsibility.
