The people of Sindh are very generous and accommodating in welcoming immigrants and settlers, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said adding, "We Syeds are also immigrants who came to this land from afar and are now its ministers and chief ministers."
Referring to the ploy to give ethnic colour to the murder of a youth in a brawl over food bill at a restaurant he said that criminal elements have no religion, no nationality and no language and they are only considered as enemies of humanity.
Speaking at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) on Thursday on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of fiction writer Naseem Kharal, the chief minister condemned the Hyderabad incident in which a man was killed in a brawl with a restaurant staff on which the law has taken its course.
"Responsibility of the incident cannot be put on a specific community as a whole," the chief minister said.
The anniversary programme was organised by Sindh Culture Department which was attended by Naseem Kharal's younger brother and PPP MPA Naeem Kharal, former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Culture Minister Sardar Shah, renowned playwright Noorul Huda Shah, journalist Ghulam Nabi Mughal and others.

The chief minister said that Sindh is the land of Sufis who spread the message of love, brotherhood and respect beyond social, linguistic, religious and other identities.
He urged all those who have taken the law into their hands, not to disturb the peace of the city and warned them that the government knows how to protect the peace and people of this province.
Police arrest over 25 miscreants
Police have warned people from reacting over rumours being spread on the social media exaggerating about murders, kidnappings and abuse during riot on Super Highway in the Sohrab Goth area.
They have arrested more than two dozen miscreants for causing unrest on Karachi Super Highway.
According to a statement issued by the Karachi police spokesperson, some miscreants and criminal elements gathered at around 3pm on Thursday and blocked the road at the Super Highway near Sohrab Goth.
Upon receiving the information, a police contingent was immediately dispatched to the spot and the situation was brought under control and the traffic was restored.
