Six terrorists killed in North Waziristan IBO
Security forces on Wednesday killed six terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan district's Datta Khel area, the military said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the reported presence of terrorists. "Troops executed a successful operation and killed six terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists," it added.
The ISPR said the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terror activities against security forces.

However, during an intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Islamud Din – the 34-year-old resident of Khyber district – embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly with the terrorists.
The ISPR further said that the sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Army troops observed and subsequently engaged in a terrorist movement, killing four terrorists in Datta Khel.

According to the military’s media wing, the terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire; weapons and ammunition were also recovered.
The killed terrorists had been actively involved in activities against security forces, the ISPR stated.
The North Waziristan district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa remains riddled with clashes between security forces and terrorists.
Earlier, the ISPR had reported that security forces killed seven terrorists in an exchange of fire in North Waziristan.
Security personnel had recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists in the Ghulam Khan KaIle area. The terrorists were said to have remained actively involved in several terror activities against the security forces.
Prior to that, a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in clashes with terrorists in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan, the ISPR had said.
According to the ISPR, a terrorist – identified as Zia Ullah – was also killed during the “intense” exchange of fire, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist.
During the clash Naik Zahid Ahmed, a 32-year-old resident of Charsadda was martyred as he fought gallantly, added the media wing.
