Veteran actor Tanveer Jamal passes away in Japan

The actor was battling cancer

Veteran Pakistani actor and director Tanveer Jamal have passed away battling cancer, reported Express PK. The actor had been first diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and had relocated to Japan for treatment. In his fruitful career of 35 long years, Jamal has played key roles in prominent dramas including Godfather, Tasweer and Teri Raza.

He was later diagnosed with the disease for the second time last year while he was shooting for drama serial Mere Apne. It was then Jamal moved to Japan for the treatment of the treatment in May 2022 and even asked his fans to pray for his recovery.

The actor was renowned for his brilliant acting prowess and a career spanning over three decades. He has even received accolades for his amazing performance from PTV. Jamal is survived by his Japanese wife and three kids.
