Fact Check: Is the viral PIA plane taxiing video on Karachi’s inundated runway from yesterday?
A clip of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane landing at an inundated runway at Karachi airport went viral on Monday, following the port city’s rampant flooding.
The popular video has received much attention from news channels, politicians and Pakistani social media users.
The 10-second video clip shows a PIA plane landing on a runway submerged in water. The viral video was aired by several private media channels, gracing television screens and tabloid pages alike.
Politician Fawad Chaudhry, too, shared the video to point out the grave infrastructural issues in Karachi.
