A man shot and killed his neighbour over a minor dispute of motorcycle parking in the limits of Waris Khan police station on Wednesday.
According to the police, Muhammad Asghar, 55, was living with his 14-year-old daughter in a rented house on Circular Road. Tuesday late night, as usual, he parked his motorcycle in the street, on which he had a slightly bitter argument with his neighbour, Tayyab Khawaja. In a fit of rage, Khawaja opened fire at Asghar, killing him on the spot. The suspect escaped after committing the crime.
Police said that Asghar's body was handed over to his heirs after postmortem.
A murder case has been registered against the neighbour, said the police, adding that they would soon arrest the suspect and recover the weapon of murder.
Police said the victim worked as a sales manager in a private company and was known in the area as a decent citizen.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) arrested nine outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons with ammunition.
Cases against all the nominated accused have been registered.
