In the midst of the pandemic and rising inflation, Pakistanis continue to face issues with employment. Additionally, the country's youth workforce has low educational levels and poor skills, which makes finding employment even more challenging. Hence, Haier, the world's leading home appliance brand, continues to work with the Pakistan Government to not only create more employment opportunities, but also transform lives and improve the skills of existing workers.
In order to make this mission a reality, the brand has collaborated with the Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) to provide students with technical training to improve their livelihood and economic welfare.
Thousands of families of skilled workforce across Pakistan will now have hope for a better future thanks to these specialised skills. Via this applaudable program, students are provided with technical training by the Haier professional certified trainers to build their skill set. Tests and evaluations will also be performed on the skills acquired during these trainings.
Upon completion of the program, all students will be provided with a certificate by Haier. Whereas, the best performing students will be offered internships at Haier, where they will truly get an opportunity to showcase their learning in the real-world industrial environment. Haier will also be evaluating the progress of these interns and the best performers will be offered permanent jobs at Haier.
By partnering with PVTC, Haier hopes to empower Pakistan's workforce to meet technological challenges and create positive change in their country.
