The government on Thursday appointed 19 National Assembly members as parliamentary secretaries, including 14 from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and four from the the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).
One post had been given to the Balochistan National Party (BNP), with Shahbaz Baloch made the parliamentary secretary for the Science and Technology Ministry, according to the official announcement.
The 14 new parliamentary from the PML-N are: Malik Sohail for Aviation, Ali Zahid for Defence, Faqir Ahmed for Economic Affairs, Hamid Hameed for Petroleum Division, Irfan Dogar for Power Division, Zeb Jafar for Education, Rana Iradat Sharif Khan for Finance and Revenue, Ayesha Rajab Ali for Human Rights, Shahbaz Babar for Information and Broadcasting, Muhammad Sajid for Interior, Mehnaz Akbar Aziz for Law, Saad Wasim for Parliamentary Affairs, Chaudhry Khalid Javed for Planning and Development and Kiran Imran for Railways.
The MMA’s parliamentary secretaries are: Afrin Khan for Religious Affairs, Syed Mehmood Shah for Housing and Works, Esmatullah for State and Frontier regions and Shahida Akhtar for Communications.
