She doesn't know: Aamir Khan opens up about first heartbreak

Actor recalled the incident while promoting his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha’s' song, 'Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi'

Superstar Aamir Khan recently opened up about the story of his first heartbreak. He revealed the details regarding his love life during a social media interaction with a group of online creators while promoting his film Laal Singh Chaddha’s song, Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi.

“This was the time when I used to play tennis, she was also in the same club with me, and one fine day I found out that she left the country with her family,” The Indian Express quoted Aamir as saying. He recalled, “I was very heartbroken and the tricky part is that she doesn’t know. The one good thing that happened was that I became a really good tennis player. Later after some years, I played tennis in state-level championships and became a state-level champion.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is one of the most highly-anticipated films coming to cinemas this year with Kareena Kapoor Khan playing the lead opposite Aamir. The Bollywood beauty also showed her appreciation for Phir Na Aisi Raat Ayegi by calling it the song of the decade.

Previously, as an effort to promote the movie, the filmmakers shared a behind the scenes clip of a conversation between Aamir, composer Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya. The video features Aamir addressing some concerns Pritam had about the song and assured him not to worry about it sounding old fashioned. He said, “Old ya new fashion kuch hota hi nahi hai, sirf acha ya bura gaana hota hai (There’s no such thing as old fashioned or new fashioned. It’s just good or bad song).”
