A man was killed, and a woman was seriously injured in an altercation at Hadi Bakhsh Goth Ghar area of Gadap City Police Station.
Both were immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the deceased was identified as 40-year-old Shahid, son of Abdul Naveed, and the injured woman was identified as Rashida Bibi.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident.
SHO Gadap City Fahad Hussain told The Express Tribune that the incident occurred due to a family dispute in Hadi Bakhsh Goth. Accused Hidayat, the son of Palia, killed his relative Shahid with an axe and injuring his sister Rashida Bibi.
Accused, Hidayat had been staying at the deceased’s house as a guest for the last ten days.
The accused has escaped after the incident, and efforts are being made to arrest him. However, police have gathered evidence from the scene and investigated the incident.
