Ramazan Security: Capital police finalises arrangements

The SSP directed all SHOs to remain in contact with mosque committees of their areas.

ISLAMABAD: Police have made security arrangements for the last ‘Ashra’ of Ramazan and religious gatherings on Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA). The security arrangements were reviewed and finalised in a meeting held here on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan and attended by SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas, SDPOs, SHOs and patrolling officers of various police stations. The SSP directed participants of the meeting to ensure foolproof security arrangements during last ‘Ashra’ of Ramazan. He also directed them to maintain close coordination with mosque committees and furnish the list of those sitting for ‘Aitekaf’ during the last ‘Ashra’. The SSP directed all SHOs to remain in contact with mosque committees of their areas round the clock and extend full cooperation to them.
