Six killed in road crashes

At least six people died and 1,060 were injured in 987 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Of the injured, 599 people with severe injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 461 victims with minor injuries were treated at the accident site. The majority of RTCs involved motorcycles.

Further analysis showed that 506 drivers, 39 underage drivers, 114 pedestrians, and 446 passengers were among the victims of RTCs. The statistics show that 263 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 288 victims, placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list.

Faisalabad followed behind with 81 RTCs and 90 victims and Multan at third with 69 RTCs and 74 victims.

The details further reveal that 1060 victims were affected by RTCs, including 873 males and 193 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 191 were under 18 years of age.
