Sepoy martyred as troops battle terrorists in North Waziristan
An exchange of fire took place between terrorists and military personnel in the general Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Sunday.
According to the military’s media wing, the troops fought “bravely and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location”.
During intense exchange of fire, 25-year-old Sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz – a resident of Kotli Sattian – embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly.
Clearance of the region is currently underway to eliminate any other terrorist elements.

Earlier, security forces killed two wanted terrorists of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an operation in North Waziristan district's Boya area.
According to the military's media wing, the operation took place between the night of May 16 and 17.
"The slain terrorists were identified as commander Rashid alias Jaber and Abdul Salam alias Chamto," the ISPR stated, adding that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The ISPR added that the militants were involved in various terrorist activities in the area.
