Police bust three gangs of motorcycle thieves

12 stolen motorcycles, a rickshaw recovered

FAISALABAD:

Police claimed to have busted three gangs of robbers by arresting their eight suspected members.

A spokesman said on Saturday that Madina Town SHO Rana Maghfoor Ahmad conducted raids and arrested suspected robber Ameer Hamza and his brother Asad, residents of Chak No. 266.

Police recovered 12 stolen motorcycles and a rickshaw from them.

ASI Riyasat Ali also arrested Qais, Israr Wali and Adnan from Chak No. 604GB and recovered three motorcycles, three pistols and other items from them.

Meanwhile, Sargodha Road Police Station SHO Sub Inspector Abid Hussain Jatt also nabbed suspected robbers Irfan, Waseem and Dilshad, recovering three stolen motorcycles, three pistols and other items from them.

The suspects were wanted by the Madina Town, Sargodha Road, Millat Town and other police stations in connection with a number of cases. Further investigation was under way, the spokesman added.
