Rohail Hyatt’s patriotic venture brings together 140 artists to sing national anthem

His goal was to assemble a diverse ethno religious group of singers that represent all the different communities

Music producer Rohail Hyatt took to Twitter to announce he selected a plethora of artists to assemble and sing the country’s national anthem.

In a post uploaded on June 6, 2022, the music maestro announced, “I had the most inspiring moment yesterday when a passionate group of 140 singers from all over Pakistan assembled to sing the national anthem. Powerful moment. Saw and felt unity one can only dream of. This nation can and will overcome anything. I’m sure. Pakistan Zindabad”.

Hyatt is well known on the micro-blogging site for his strong sense of patriotism and netizens had an overwhelming response of excitement with many eager to listen to his rendition of the anthem. A few of the performing artists featured in this rendition are Irfan Ali Taj, Rahim Khan, Zohaib Zaman, Rizwan Abidi and M Irfan Malik, among others.

According to Hyatt, all the singers applied through a process by which they were selected in order to have a group of singers that represented the fabric of Pakistan’s diverse communities.

Hyatt had previously taken to Twitter to ask for suggestions about who he could include in this ensemble. His goal was to assemble a diverse ethno religious group of singers that represent all the different communities in Pakistan. Upon several responses to leave the Ali Chagla composition untouched, the producer assured netizens that “very special consideration is being given to his original score”.
