Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK)-Europe President Muhammad Ghalib has said that the Kashmiris have faced Indian oppression with courage and bravery and urged the government of Pakistan and other political and religious leaders to take concrete steps.
Speaking at an event on the ‘Plight of Kashmiris’, Ghalib also said that the international community must play its role in stopping the ongoing Indian barbarism and oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
India has adopted a stubborn and disrespectful attitude, he said. The UN had declared that the Kashmiris will be given the chance to decide about their future but unfortunately, the UN has been unable to implement its resolutions on Kashmir, he added.

“The TeK-Europe is playing its due role by becoming the voice of the Kashmiris. Pakistan, which is a key player in the Kashmir issue and is also the advocate of the Kashmir cause, has to play a vital role at this stage,” he stressed.
“India is trying every tactic to weaken the Kashmiris economically, which will break the economic backbone of the Kashmiris and suppress the ongoing independence movement in Kashmir. But in spite of all these tactics the movement for independence will continue.”
Senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat commended the TeK-UK and Europe for working for the Kashmir cause in dynamic manner.
“The ongoing activities of Muhammad Ghalib, Raja Fahim Kayani and his entire team for the Kashmir cause have given impetus to our determination. Overseas Kashmiris and Pakistanis are busy working day and night to raise the issue of Kashmir globally,” he said.

Bhat said that India wanted to suppress the voice of freedom in IIOJK by imprisoning all the pro-independence leadership. “India wants to change the demography of Kashmir under a well-thought-out plan,” he added.
“Time and circumstances demand that the government of Pakistan appoint a deputy foreign minister, whose focus is only on the Kashmir issue. Kashmiris want to see a strong and economically stable Pakistan,” the JKSM chairman said.
Deputy President of the TeK-Europe Mahmood Ahmed Sharif appealed to the government of Pakistan to send delegations of the Kashmiris to abroad to expose Indian atrocities and to awaken the world conscience for a just resolution of the issue.
Naib Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir (JIAJK) Raja Jahangir Khan in his address said that the Kashmiris have fought for their freedom and made great sacrifices more than what they had.
