Three killed in separate incidents

Incidents were motivated by enmity, domestic disputes

KURIANWALA:

Three people, including two women, were shot dead, stabbed and tortured in separate incidents in the district while two injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Police said 27-year-old Iqra Bibi, a resident of Samundari Road, was at her house in New Sindhu Town Street 2 with her three children when unidentified assailants entered the house, stabbed her in the neck and killed her. Police reached the spot and seized the body of the deceased, shifting it to Allied Hospital for postmortem. Iqra Bibi had three marriages and she had three children. The search for the suspects is underway.

Meanwhile, near 243 RB Roshanwala, Mudassar Ali, Younis, Umair alias Umairi and others allegedly opened fire and injured 27-year-old Ahsan, Mushtaq Ahmed and Irshad Ahmed to avenge an old enmity. The three victims were shifted to Allied Hospital after receiving medical treatment; however Ahsan succumbed to his injuries.

The condition of both the injured at Allied Hospital is said to be critical.

Separately, in D-Type Colony, Iqbal bibi and her daughter were allegedly grabbed and tortured by her close relatives Maqsood, Mathoo, Ashraf, Sonia Bibi, Zahida Bibi and others over a domestic dispute. Iqbal Bibi was knocked unconscious when her head hit a door. She was shifted to Civil Hospital after receiving medical treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.
