Late Indian singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was killed by gangsters in an attack near his ancestral village in Punjab on Sunday, had released a song titled The Last Ride on May 15. Oddly enough, his death was caused by an attack on his vehicle while he was travelling, as gangster opened fire, leading to the singer sustaining more than eight bullet injuries before eventually passing away.

As many in India and Pakistan mourned his demise, fans of the singer began drawing out eerie similarities between his last song and his death. Many also pointed out how the singer had churned out a song titled 295, and was unfortunately assassinated on May 29.

The song titled The Last Ride was touted to be a tribute to rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in his car at the age of 25 in 1996.  Sidhu, 27, had also been killed in a similar manner, if not the same, his car. One fan wrote, “Irony is the last song Sidhu Moose Wala dropped was the last ride and its cover was Tupac’s assassination car, the same way Sidhu is killed.”

The track released on May 15 this year has so far garnered over 11 million views on YouTube. “Ho chobbar de chehre utte noor dassda, ni ehda uthuga jawani ch janaja mithiye (everything is revealed in the eyes of the young boy that the funeral will take place in its youth)," the song's lyrics read. Another social media user tweeted, "Sidhu Moose Wala's last track ominously proved true for him."

The cover image for The Last Ride captured the murder scene of Tupac. Another one wrote, "Sidhu Moose Wala using Tupac's car photo, in which he was shot dead, for the cover of a song which foretells his last ride in life… Rest in peace. Mother of coincidences."

Sidhu was on the radar of gangsters for a long time, as per the Times of India. Six people have reportedly been detained in connection with his killing. Sidhu's father has demanded the probe through a sitting judge of the high court, handing over investigations to CBI or NIA. Also demanded to fix the responsibility of officers who leaked letters about the withdrawal of security. Now the CM has agreed to all the demand.

The incident occurred within 24 hours after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab government. More than 30 rounds were fired at the vehicle he was travelling in. He was taken to the Mansa civil hospital where he died and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the killing, as per The Indian Express.
