INDIANAPOLIS: Trell Kimmons will replace Mike Rodgers in the 100m on the US team for the athletics World Championships after Rodgers accepted a provisional doping suspension. Kimmons came fourth in the 100m at the US trials in June with a time of 10 seconds. On Monday, Rogers remained on the US roster, even though his doping case was pending. He tested positive for a banned stimulant at an athletics meeting in Italy. Rodgers has said he unwittingly ingested the stimulant in an energy drink, and officials are still examining the details of his case.
