Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo has termed the failure of the no-trust motion against him a success for the people of Balochistan.
“Majority of the members reposed confidence in me once again,” Bizenjo told reporters while addressing a news conference at the Chief Minister Secretariat on Thursday.
Senator Manzoor Kakar, provincial minister Muhammad Khan Lehri, and others were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister said that the time of submitting a no-confidence motion was wrong. The budget is fast approaching and the local bodies elections are going to be held after three days, he said.
“All lawmakers should think about the province, not their personal gains,” Bizenjo said, adding that his government was committed to addressing the issues of the masses on a priority basis irrespective of any political affiliation.

“We respect every individual and are trying to serve all without any greed,” he said, urging former chief minister Jam Kamal and other lawmakers to stop what he called ‘creating obstacles’ in the way of his government and join hands for a developed and prosperous Balochistan.
It is worth noting here that majority of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) legislators, member parties of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and Balochistan National Party (Mengal) supported the chief minister in the no-trust motion.
Jam Kamal Khan had claimed that PDM had promised to support a no trust motion in Balochistan after they voted for Shehbaz Sharif to de-seat former prime minister Imran Khan.
However, BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal rejected the claim and said that no such agreement with Jam Kamal and other leaders of BAP was made.
“I am the chief minister of the entire province not only BAP,” Bizenjo said, adding that he enjoyed the support of all political parties including the opposition and other coalition partners.
