If there’s one thing for sure, it’s that Bollywood bigwig Karan Johar knows how to throw a party! The filmmaker celebrated turning 50 with a massive star-studded bash positively bursting with glamour and lots of glitter. The party, which took place at Yash Raj Studios, was attended by several industry A-listers, including Ranbir and Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherji, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, and many more!
The event was complete with a red carpet and quite a few shimmering outfits. The birthday boy himself donned a bright green sequinned suit jacket over a white shirt, pairing it with black dress pants and a matching bowtie. Complimenting his look was actor Rani, with whom he posed on the red carpet. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor opted for a little black dress with a black sequinned jacket on top.
Kareena also went down the glittery route, choosing to don a silver sequinned number with a plunging neckline, pairing it with a matching clutch. The actor was accompanied by husband Saif, who kept things classic with a white tuxedo and black pants.
Actor Hrithik Roshan and his (now official) girlfriend Saba Azad played it safe and arrived at the red carpet arm in arm while clad in all black. Another celebrity couple in attendance was Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, with Vicky wearing a black suit and ditching the tie, and Katrina bringing the drama in a short white dress with feather detailing over the shoulders.
Aishwarya and Abhishek twinned in black jackets, with the former pairing it with a fitted gold dress with sequins all over, and the latter going for the classic tux with black sequins on the jacket.
Newly married Ranbir arrived at the red carpet hand in hand with his mother Neetu, with the Sanju actor wearing a metallic dark blue jacket over a black t-shirt and pant combo. Neetu opted for a white suit with flowy pants and emerald jewellery.
Ranveer Singh showed up in a multi-coloured sequinned bomber jacket, wearing it over a white shirt and black tie. He accesorised his outfit with a pair of mini sunnies, keeping up with his quirky sense of style. Actor Ananya Panday arrived at the bash in a glamorous crystal halter-neck dress. She wore her hair in a high bun and ditched all jewellery save for a pair of stud earrings and crystal cuffs, letting the shimmery dress do all the talking!
Janhvi Kapoor stunned in a pink sequinned figure-hugging dress, wearing her hair open and blow-dried to perfection! The starlet ditched the jewellery, wearing only a pair of minimal diamond studs.
