KARACHI:

The Sindh government has started census to figure out the actual number of students studying in government schools as well as private schools and madrsahs.

Main objective of this process is to find out the actual number of out-of-school or registered and studying students in the province.

The campaign has been initiated on the orders of Sindh Education Minister, Sardar Ali Shah.

According to Rafia Javed, Additional Director Registration, Directorate of Private Institutions, the Sindh government is aware that there is a mentionable number of uneducated children in the province. These children have the same right to education like all other Pakistani children. In this regard, steps are being taken to find out the exact number of school-going children. In the first phase, the education department will start the census in schools and madrsahs across the province.
