Ex-PM tells Multan rally final date will be announced between 25-29

MULTAN:

Former prime minister Imran Khan asked the people on Friday to get ready, as he would announce a date between May 25 and 29 for the much-hyped long march towards Islamabad after holding consultations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee.

Addressing a public gathering in Multan, Imran, also the chairman of the PTI, said that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s(ECP) decision to de-seat 25PTI dissidents in the PunjabAssembly was a new development, following his removal from the government last month.

“Everyone get ready, I will give the date for the long march between May 25-29,” he said.

“There has been new development after the disqualification of the turncoats.

The consultation will be held at the core committee meeting in Peshawar,” he added.

“We should not let the government of these thieves and American slaves stay anymore,” the former prime minister said, demanding the government to dissolve the assemblies and announced the fate of new elections in the country.

Imran told the crowd that the current rulers had the plan to continue in the government for one and a half years with the help of the umpires and then win the next elections through rigging.

“Now, both the conspirators and those who brought them are crying as all of them have run out of time,” he added.

Imran promised a sea of people would come to Islamabad on his call, saying the biggest revolution in Pakistan’s history was in the making.

He warned that if the nation did not come out on the streets today, they would become slaves to the United States and the robbers.

“All segments of society, including retired soldiers, bureaucrats, police, students, workers, peasants, and women, are ready to go on the long march.

The time for politics is over, the biggest revolution in the country's history is coming,” he said.

Turning his guns toward the top leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMM-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP), Imran called them the “corrupt leaders” who had stashed their “ill-gotten wealth” in America, therefore they were afraid to stand up to the superpower.

“There are corruption cases worth billions of rupees against Shahbaz Sharif andHamza [the chief minister of Punjab].

Sharifs and [PPPCo-Chairman Asif] Zardari’smoney is stashed abroad, therefore they are afraid of foreign powers,” he said.

“The corrupt people plot-ted against me,” he said, referring to the no-confidence motion against him.

“Musharraf gave both the parties the NRO [amnesty]vis-a-vis corruption cases.

They tried to blackmail me, but if I were to forgive their corruption, it would have been tantamount to saving the premiership.

”Imran said that a jackal[coward] could not become a leader.

“The one who has fear cannot become a good human being.

The fear spawned by corrupt cow-ard leaders in society could not advance with polishing America's boots.

”The former prime minister also criticised the US in his speech.

He reminded the people that the US and Europe never condemned the atrocities against Kashmiris and the Palestinians.

He also said that the US never thanked Pakistan for “our sacrifices” in the war against terrorism.

“Who the Americans are to threaten us, are we slaves or their servants? But unfortunately, our rulers do not dare to make a policy for the nation. It is the fear of death and humiliation that makes a big man small,” he added.

Imran told the supporters that he got the message that his life was in danger therefore, he should put a glass shield in his rallies.

However, he reminded that the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) freed the people from fear. “He who has the fear cannot become the best man in the world”, added
