Police crack mystery of torched human remains found in suitcase near Super Highway

Police investigators cracking the mystery of unidentified tortured torso found packed in suitcase dumped near the Super Highway managed to identify the victim by the NADRA record and arrested the victim's son, who confessed to killing his father.

On April 21, a tortured and burnt human torso of an unidentified man was found in a suitcase near Super Highway Al-Asif Square Afghan Cut within the limits of Sachal police station. The body's head and legs were cut off with a sharp instrument, but arms were left attached. After taking the human body into custody, the police registered a case and started an investigation. The Sachal Investigation Police obtained the biometric data of the victim's thumb with the help of technical facilities of NADRA. The deceased was identified as 52-year-old Muhammad Saleem Khilji Rajput.

Police contacted the relatives of the deceased, took their statements and obtained the CDR through the mobile numbers of the deceased and the relatives. During the interrogation, the location of the mobile of Obaid Rajput, 32, son of the deceased, was found suspicious. The son, Obaid's location, was tracked where the body was found.

Police interrogated Obaid using traditional methods. Once inside the interrogation room, broke down and confessed to killing his father.

The accused admitted that he hit his father with a hammer on his head on April 21. The accused added that he cut off the head and legs of the victim with the help of a grinder and then burnt them. The victim's son said he beheaded his father and threw him into the Lyari River, threw his legs in the Jubilee Market area, wrapped the rest of his torso in a bag, and threw it into the Afghan Cut Super Highway near Al-Asif Square. The accused is being further interrogated.
