DG Rangers visits Karachi University

Pays tribute to the Chinese victims of KU blast

KARACHI:

The Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers, Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry visited Karachi University (KU). Dr Nasira, Vice Chancellor of the university welcomed the DG.

The DG visited the site of the suicide bombing and paid tributes to the Chinese teachers who lost their lives in the incident. Accompanied by the staff he laid wreaths at the memorial.

Addressing the faculty and administration, the DG said that Chinese teachers who sacrificed their lives in Karachi University’s tragic incident will always be remembered.

He awarded a laptop to the student who bravely gave first aid during rescue operations after the suicide attack.

The university administration assured its full cooperation in improving security measures in the university.

Later the DG also visited the blood donation camp, set up during a special event organised in collaboration with Fatmeed Foundation to raise awareness on “World Thalassemia Day”.
