Separatist terrorist organisation Sindhu Desh Revolutionary Army has claimed responsibility for the blast

The case of bomb blast in Saddar area of Karachi was registered at the Counter-terrorism Department (CTD) police station under other provisions of murder, attempt to murder, arson, and damage to property, Explosives Act, and Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

The case has been registered against masterminds and other facilitators of a separatist terrorist organisation.

The case of a bomb blast on Dawoodpota Road, Saddar, within the limits of Preedi Police Station on Thursday night was registered as state complaint No2022/27 with the CTD on Friday.

According to text of the FIR, the separatist terrorist organisation Sindhu Desh Revolutionary Army has claimed responsibility for the blast on social media.

The FIR stated that a car was completely destroyed in the blast while eight vehicles and four motorcycles were partially damaged. The rear part of a black bicycle was also destroyed near the vehicle destroyed in the blast.

Bomb Disposal Squad experts, after gathering and examining evidence from the site, said that a bomb, packed with 2.5kgs of explosives and ball bearings, was used in the blast.

The explosives were detonated using a timed device technique. The blast killed 19-year-old Siddique son of Salamat Ali and injured nine others.
