Child among eight killed in accidents
At least eight people, including a five-year-old girl, were killed and about 250 others were injured in different traffic accidents on Eid days. Rescue 1122 personnel provided medical aid to the injured.
Naveed Ahmed, a resident of Samanabad, and his mother Nasreen Bibi, who had been returning from his sister’s house, were hit by a bus in front of a hotel in the jurisdiction of Civil Line Police Station. Both the mother and son were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition where Naveed Ahmed died of his injuries.
Shahid Ali, a resident of 72 GB, died when his motorcycle collided with another near Satiana Road.
Suleiman, a resident of Bada Jahangirwala, died on the spot when his car hit against a divider near Dalwal Darbar Samundari Road while his three companions, 20-yearold Rehman, 23-year-old Asad and 16-year-old Ali Raza were injured and rushed to the hospital by the rescue team.
On Roshanwala Bypass, the driver of a bus of a well-known company, allegedly showing negligence, hit a young man, Ahmed, who had been riding a motorcycle.
