KARACHI:

Sindh Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput was left stuck in the lift of his office for half-an-hour without rescue.

All the staff, including the executive engineer, were absent due upcoming Eid holidays and the last Friday of Ramazan.

There was no staff available to get the chief secretary out of the elevator. After being trapped in the elevator for half an hour, the chief secretary was taken out of the elevator. During this time, he was fasting, and his health deteriorated due to the heat.
