Shoaib Akhtar wishes Shaan a happy birthday after latter put him on blast for not wishing IK

Actor took issue with Shoaib sending birthday greetings to Sachin Tendulkar but not IK, whose birthday was in October

Well, this is awkward! Shoaib Akhtar recently sent out a birthday greeting to actor Shaan Shahid after the latter criticised the former cricketer for failing to wish Imran Khan in October.

The actor’s tirade came after Shoaib took to Twitter to wish Indian cricketer and long-time friend Sachin Tendulkar earlier this week. In a hilarious turn of events, Shoaib tweeted out on April 28, “Umm… Happy birthday, Shaan Shahid.”

The actor replied in an identical fashion, writing, “Umm… thank you,” along with a thumbs-up emoji.

On Sunday, April 24, Akhtar took to Twitter and shared a picture where he’s passing a water bottle to Tendulkar clicked at one of their test matches. He wrote, “Happy birthday, Sachin. Hope you're having a wonderful day.”

However, Shoaib’s birthday wish for Sachin did not sit well with Shaan and his political affiliations. In the replies, the actor wrote, “Wah bhai inki to yaad hai. (Wow, brother, you remember his birthday.)” He further reminded the cricketer of his silence on Khan’s birthday on October 5, last year. “Ek bhi message nahi apkay twitter account per, bhai? (There’s not even a single message [for him] on your Twitter account, brother?)”
