CM Murad removes Dadu DC
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, taking serious notice of the fire incident in village Faiz Mohammad Duryani Chandio in Mehar taluka of Dadu district, has removed the deputy commissioner.
In the light of the inquiry, the chief minister has ordered the removal of Dadu Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Shaikh and placed the services of District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Abdul Hameed Shaikh, and Assistant Commissioner Mehar Faheem Lakhair under suspension for their failure to respond to the incident in time.

Shah posted Syed Murtaza Shah as the new deputy commissioner and directed him to take necessary urgent measures for the rehabilitation of the villagers. It may be recalled that nine persons including eight children and a woman died in the incident that took place in Faiz Mohammed Village near Mahar Town of Dadu district.
Over 50 animals, including goats, buffalos and cows were also burnt in the fire. A villager informed that acute shortage of water was the main reason that locals were unable to douse flames on self-help basis.
Locals said that no fire brigade was available to reach the spot to douse flames. They said that the fire broke out at 11:30pm on Monday and lasted until 9:00am on Tuesday but no help reached the village till Tuesday evening.
