Shershah Bridge: Rs120m sought for land NHA used

The Sindh High Court has asked the provincial law officer to verify the reports of claimants seeking Rs120 million in compensation for land to build Shershah Bridge.


Haji Ayub Jokhio and 28 other victims filed a petition naming the communications ministry, chairman of the National Highways Authority, Sindh chief secretary, DDO of Revenue. They said that the NHA compensated influential claimants Rs5,500,000 per acre. The petitioners were told to contact the CDGK’s revenue department, which has not responded. They have claimed Rs119,010,937 in compensation at the rate of Rs5.5 million per acre. ppi
